Student Ambassador Position

Hi Finance is a university-based startup with the goal of helping students make the most of their finances!

We came out of the UofA’s business accelerator program in 2022 and have received a substantial amount of support from investors and the university community. We have experienced rapid growth and are actively hiring to meet increasing demand.

We are now expanding to Ontario and are recruiting student ambassador based on demand!

Position Overview

As a Student Ambassador, you’ll be the face of our organization on campus — helping students learn about the resources and opportunities we offer.

Your role will include:

  • Placing posters on assigned boards within each monthly campaign window (you don't design or print posters)

  • Logging every placement in our ambassador app with a photo, board ID, and timestamp

  • Replacing damaged or removed posters within 7 days of spotting them

  • Flagging campus changes (new boards, removed locations, new rules) to your program lead

  • Responding to team messages within 48 hours and showing up to monthly check-ins

This is a volunteer position that asks for about 3-5 hours per month and offers a great way to get involved, gain experience, and make a difference on campus!

Who we’re looking for:

  • Currently enrolled at a post-secondary institution in Alberta or Ontario

  • Know your campus layout, or willing to figure it out within a couple weeks

  • Eager to learn about Hi Finance and share our mission

  • Comfortable using a mobile app to log your work

  • The kind of person who flags problems before they become problems

  • Can carve out roughly 3 to 5 hours a month on a predictable schedule

  • Ideally involved in a campus club or student union, or studying business, comms, or something adjacent (not required!)

No finance or business background needed — just a willingness to learn and engage :)

What you get:

This is a volunteer position (approx. 3-5 hours/month). In return for your time and dedication, you'll receive verified volunteer hours for your resume, a welcome kit, a reference letter, free access to Hi Finance services after reaching a set number of logged hours, and social media recognition for your contributions.
